And since you can't always see it, you might not know you have a problem until you start to feel the effects. For that reason, testing for mold and other contaminants in cars, RV's, boats and airplanes is becoming commonplace in Southern California.

Can Mold In Your Vehicle Cause Fungal Infections?
Yes. Have you ever turned your vehicle's heater or air conditioner and smelled mold? Mold, bacteria,VOC's and other contaminants can thrive in our cars, trucks, SUVs, RV's, motor homes, boats, and airplanes. Mold can originate anywhere there is excessive moisture or where water intrusion has occurred. And because our vehicles are often used with the windows up and heaters or air conditioners on, recirculating the air, they can all be a source of exposure to high concentrations of airborne mold spores in a small area.
Rain, snow, extreme humidity and other natural conditions can cause mold to grow in vehicles. If we are exposed to mold growth in our homes or workplaces, airborne mold spores can settle on our clothing and other items we store indoors and transport in our vehicles, which can then be shaken loose inside our vehicles and enter the air circulation system.
